Location planning has always been one of the strengths of SHADOW LIGHTS.

Model availability, locations and requests are subject to confirmation.
We will suggest possible options based on your travel plans.

photography time, model and participation fee.

Submit Your Reservation
Follow the reservation instructions shown on the event page. Check the booking conditions and payment arrangements before completing your reservation.

Check Your Email
Check your booking confirmation for meeting details, payment instructions and anything you need to bring. If you are waiting for an email, check your spam folder or contact us.

You don't need to speak fluent Japanese.

Before your first model photo session in Japan.
Can photographers visiting Japan from overseas participate?
Yes. International photographers are welcome at SHADOW LIGHTS.
Your trip does not need to be specifically for photography.
Where are your model photo sessions held?
Our main area is Kansai, including Osaka, Kyoto, Hyogo,
Nara, Wakayama and Shiga. We also organize special sessions
and photography trips in other areas of Japan.
Can I join even if I only have a few free hours?
Yes. Check our Schedule first.
If the dates do not match your trip,
you can also contact us about a PERSONAL photography request.
Can you suggest a photography location?
Yes. Location planning is one of the areas we specialize in.
Tell us the atmosphere and type of photography you want,
and we can discuss possible options.
Can I request a Japanese model for a private photo session?
PERSONAL requests are available subject to model availability,
schedule, location and approval.
How do I reserve a regular session?
Open the Schedule page, choose an event,
read the details and submit the reservation form shown on that page.
What if I don't speak Japanese?
Our website is available in English.

What is a model photo session?
You photograph a participating model. This is different from booking a photographer to take holiday portraits of you.
Can beginners join?
Tell us your experience before booking. We can help you consider suitable available sessions and clarify what to bring. Photography tuition is not included unless specified.
How much does a session cost?
Check the price and inclusions in the event listing. PERSONAL pricing depends on the proposed arrangements and is confirmed before booking.
May I publish or commercially use my photographs?
Check the full terms and the model or event publication conditions. Contact SHADOW LIGHTS before booking if you intend commercial use.
